Chori Ringan nu Shaak Gujarati Style Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup Chori Chawli
  • 1 Cup Ringan Brinjal
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Start by heating oil in a pan and mustard and cumin seeds to it. Fry them for a few seconds.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and fry until it’s cooked.
    હવે તેમાં 1 ચમચી આદુ અને લસણની પેસ્ટ ઉમેરો. તેને યોગ્ય રીતે મિક્સ કરો.
  • Next, add in the chori and ringan and give them a good mix.
    હવે તેમાં 1 કપ સમારેલી ચોરી અને 1 કપ સમારેલા રિંગણા ઉમેરો.
  • Drop in all the spices, including red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. Stir well so that the spices are well combined with the vegetables.
  • Pour in 1 cup of water and lightly mix it. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
  • Once done, check if the vegetables are cooked; if not, then dont hesitate to cook them for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Once done, take it off the flame. Garnish with some coriander and serve warm.

  • When cutting the chori (chawli), ensure to string each bean; otherwise, the fiber might feel irritating while chewing.
  • Cut the brinjals into medium-sized cubes, ensuring that both the brinjals and the chori have a similar cooking time and that all of them are cooked well.
  • Cook the curry on low-medium heat, or it might get burnt.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your taste.

Storage Instructions
