For more than 35 years, Ingrid’s Kitchen has been one of Oklahoma City’s favorite choices for the finest in German food, as well as other European and American specialties. Authentic recipes, old-world charm, hospitality and value are the hallmarks that distinguish this one-of-a-kind combination
restaurant,
bakery,
delicatessen and
catering service.
In 1950, at the age of 15, Ingrid Quitz escaped Berlin by crawling across the border to freedom. In 1977, she opened Ingrid's Kitchen, eventually moving the business to 36th and Youngs - its current location in the heart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The young refugee’s dream to make Ingrid’s Kitchen a landmark is a dream come true. Current owner Lee Burrus continues to offer loyal customers many of Ingrid’s original recipes for bakery delicacies, such as nuessecken and streusel, weiner schnitzel, sauerbraten, bratwurst and home-made sauerkraut, as well as other European and American specialties. Ingrid's Kitchen serves
breakfast,
lunch and dinner during the week, as well as a
weekend buffet and brunch, plus a full range of catering services.
Ingrid's Bar is also open for your pleasure and enjoyment.
The long tradition of never scrimping on ingredients or service continues to safeguard Ingrid’s Kitchen’s reputation for relaxed, casual dining, gourmet quality food, unique offerings and exceptional, personal service in the Euro-American tradition.
Owner Lee Burrus, Manager Maggie Miner, along with their talented and personable staff, invite you, your family and friends to come share the Ingrid’s Kitchen experience.
